I, with the Ohio Court of Appeals Eighth Appellate District, am pleased to announce that effective Friday, November 1, 2013 all documents filed in the Court of Appeals, including: original actions (Writs of Mandamus, Habeas Corpus, Prohibition, Procedendo and Que Warranto), appellate briefs, applications, and motions may be filed electronically with the Clerk. It is the Court of Appeals' intention to make e-filing mandatory beginning March 3, 2014 . Also beginning November 1st, most images of appellate documents will be available on the internet. (Domestic, Juvenile and Criminal Expungements excluded). For more information and instructions, go to the Clerk of Courts' website at

Parties and Counsel are reminded that the Notice of Appeal, Praecipe and Docketing statement must be filed in the trial court which issued the judgment from which the appeal is being taken. Anyone wishing to file electronically must register with the Clerk of Courts at the web address above. Assistance will be provided through the clerk's email at
